Arlene grew up in Harlem New York after leaving her home in Jamaica WI. Her voice performance began at school where she participated in a Choral Speaking Choir and was a young soloist and scripture reader in the church. Her last year in Junior High School she was chosen to sing the Lead, in the performing arts department production of The Sound of Music.
Through her church affiliation she continued to sing and recite through the years. Then she decided to study Voice Over as a part time hobby. After a few years of studying she attended the Atlanta Broadcast Institute to further her expertise in Radio and Television skills. She then interned at WYZE in Atlanta GA. She had her own radio show through WGOV in Atlanta. At Community Radio Station WRFG she narrated commercials and Public Service Announcements.
She uses her voice to entertain by reading to Seniors Citizens for a while in California. She also volunteered at the San Diego State Radio Reading Service reading to the visually impaired. Today she write her own heart felt poems about life. As part of her ongoing desire to help others she is developing the idea of being a Coma Whisperer.

Presently Arlene is the Host Reader in the Vertikal Reading Room. A Radio Show from Vertikal Publishing Company. Her children and grandchildren continue to be her source of encouragement. She resides with her husband in Atlanta, GA.
